June 8th is National Best Friend Day!
Today is a day to celebrate and enjoy your
best friend. Or if you're lucky, best friends (yes, I believe you can
have more than one best friend). Best friends are such special people.
You spend countless hours with them going to events and activities, shopping,
drinking, vacationing, crying, laughing and just hanging out. You share
secrets, drama, dreams and disappointments with your best friend.
Life brings so many surprise friendships
that sustain us and give us depth. Throughout life, you gain a variety of best
friends as the result of many things. Some of my friendships go as far back as
the playground, others were formed during college, and some most recently from
moving to a new city. Girlfriends can even come in a variety of forms – a sister,
mother, neighbor, childhood playmate, college roommate, etc.
Our
BFF’s know us better than anyone else and play such important roles in our
lives. They are our loudest cheerleaders and our most compassionate confidantes
– so cherish your friendships!
I celebrated Best Friend Day early at Brio with three best friends by drinking way too many cocktails on a school night...
Round 1...Pomegranate Cosmo, Mojito, Black Raspberry Cosmo
Round 2...White Peach Sangria: Peach nectar, fresh berries and citrus fruits, Peach Schnapps and Chardonnay, served on the rocks.

ReplyDeleteMy best friend is two states away so I relate so much to that first picture. There are times where we may not see each other for months but I always know she is there if I need her. Looks like you had a great girls night out!
