1st Trimester Pregnancy Essentials

I am by no means a pregnancy expert, but I have learned a ton in my first trimester! Thankfully, some of my mommy friends posted their "pregnancy essentials" throughout their pregnancy journey and those were some of the very first posts I tracked down when looking for advice, so I thought I'd compile a list of essential things I needed throughout my first trimester...
1st Trimester Essentials

  - ONE - Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pregnancy Pillow. There are so many pregnancy pillows out there and I found it overwhelming to choose which one to purchase. The cuter ones {like the Bump Nest} are much more expensive and after reading lots of reviews I decided the Leachco Snoogle was the one for me.

- TWO - EOS Lip Balm: I have gone through so much lip balm in my first trimester it is ridiculous! I have to carry one of these everywhere {in the car, next to my bed, on my desk, in my purse, etc.}!

- THREE - Ariel Dealcoholized Wine: Before going public with our baby news I had to be pretty sneaky with my drinking. I had such terrible bar experiences that I decided hosting wine nights were a safer bet because I could just slip my dealcoholized wine into a screw top wine bottle. There are tons of brands out there but this one tasted the best to me!

- FOUR - Nabisco Saltine Cracker Rounds: These were a lifesaver during the weeks of nausea. I carried these in my purse at all times and would snack on a few when I was feeling sick.

- FIVE - Motherlove Pregnant Belly Salve: My mother-in-law did some research on stretch mark prevention and found this cream was reviewed as one of the bests. Currently I am rotating between 3 different creams. I guess the real test is yet to come as I get bigger!

- SIX - La Croix Sparkling Water: Same as the crackers! Needed these during the nauseous weeks!

- SEVEN - Up & Up Prenatal Gummy Multivitamins: If I have to take vitamin every day, it should at least be in candy form! Plus I never forget to take these since they are such a treat!

- EIGHT - Baby Be Mind Maternity Bella Bands: These were a lifesaver when I could no longer button my pants!

  3. EOS Lip Balm is okay, but if you're looking for something that actually works you should try the Honey Trap lip balm from Lush Cosmetics or Blistex's Deep Renewal lip balm.

  4. I love mother love products! They have great nipple cream (not to scare you) as well. I didn't know that I had stretch marks until after I had my daughter. I guess I couldn't see them under my belly. I used Palmers belly butter and broke out in a horrible rash so it don't suggest using it. After googling it many others had the same issue!

  6. I lived on saltines and ginger ale the first 15 weeks of my pregnancy. Those gummy prenatals were a lifesaver for me because the regular ones just made my nausea worse. I drank club soda and called it a vokda soda those first few weeks.

  9. With my first pregnancy I would get so sick every time I took my prenatals. This was something I was worried about this time around too. I bought the gummies from CVS, just there regular brand, and boy are they good! No issue with them and like you said it makes you want to take them! Sometimes I get sad I can only have 2! haha

  10. That was my favorite "fake" wine brand too. I don't know if you're a beer drinker but I found that the Coors NA beer was easy to find and pretty tasty. Good for football watching. There are a surprising number of NA beers on the market. I had no idea until I was pregnant during football season. :)

  11. Ok the fake wine is a genius idea! That's one thing I'm worried about when we start "trying" and in the early stages before the news is out. I mean as soon as I walk in my parents house my mom usually shoves a wine glass in my hand. I'll have to remember that for sure!
