Five on Friday!

Happy, happy Friday!

- ONE - Today is Charlie's birthday! I cannot believe our boy is 8 years old already! We are going to celebrate tomorrow with cake, pawty hats, tennis balls and a nice long walk! If you've been following my blog for awhile, you know how obsessed with our fur baby we are. If not, you can read about his previous birthday pawties {here} and {here}!
- TWO - I was so happy to win Home Sweet Ruby's coffee koozie giveaway last week! Loving my new coffee accessory.
- THREE - I finally upgraded my ELF eyeshadow pallet to Urban Decay's Naked pallet and am obsessed. The quality is a noticeable difference and my shadow lasts all day now. Thanks to Laura for pushing me on this makeup splurge!
- FOUR - Also on the books this weekend is some spring decorating! Is it just mine, or does anyone else's husband pitch a fit when you ask him to go into the attic to bring down holiday decorations? Seriously, you'd think I asked him to get me McDonalds french fries at 11 pm at night as he's getting into bed. I'd neeeever do that!
-FIVE - Which leads me to candy bribing. Easter candy is definitely my favorite holiday candy (even more so than Halloween candy). Chocolate dipped peeps, cream filled eggs, peanut butter stuffed bunnies, Starburst jelly beans...oh my goodness, I love it all.

  9. Glad to know my hubby's not the only one to roll his eyes at the mention of "we need to get the decorations out of the attic..." (WE being the clue there!). Happy Friday!!

  10. HA! When husband dares to cop an attitude about attic retrieval and things of the like these days, I say "oh, don't worry about it, I'll grab it myself", which as you well know my dear, our husbands are not about to let anything happen to their sweet little 7 month pregnant wives so that usually gets the task done quickly : ) Have a great weekend!

  16. I thought about busting out my spring decor the other day. With so much construction going on in the house I've hardly really had time to even put it out! Maybe Sunday though... it's supposed to be rainy all day here! Yumm! I love Easter candy too, especially peeps! Not many other people (that I know of) likes peeps so, fun to find someone else who does! Happy Birthday to Charlie!! Have a great weekend!!

  21. Happy Birthday to your sweet Charlie! He and Brady are the same age. :) You are not alone with the husband making comments about your decorations. Mine makes comments all the time about "where am I supposed to put my cup on the table with all of this stuff on it??" He clearly knows nothing about decor. :)

  22. OMG Easter candy...those cadbury cream eggs are my favorite of all time...and reese's eggs. I can't resist getting some every time I'm at the store. I agree that Easter candy is definitely better than Halloween candy! And happy birthday to Charlie! Tomorrow is our dog's birthday, so we'll be celebrating tomorrow too :)

  23. Yay! So glad you're loving your Urban Decay palette! I have the Naked and Naked 3 palettes and I absolutely LOVE them! The color really does last all day! Cadbury eggs are also my weakness around Easter time! :)

  24. My husband does the SAME thing when I ask him to get décor out of the attic! You are so right - huffing and puffing like I asked him to get french fries from McDonald's at 11 p.m.! Ha!

  25. Happy Birthday Charlie!! We have to celebrate 4 furbaby birthdays each year, the first in April. I think we may do a joint part this year in the summer! Thanks for such great posts and the inspiration to start my blog. I hope you follow along on mine as well!

  26. Ack!! I'm not a candy eater but I am in love with the Cadbury Robin Eggs (I think that's the name).. I refuse to buy a big bag but will occasionally get a small "snack size" bag and slowly eat it.. thankfully if I eat too many, I will get sick or else I would buy stock in them! So delish!

  27. Ohhh my gosh, I thought it was just my husband who did that! I have to ask him to take down the Spring decor this weekend... looks like I'll be doing some bribing with Chipotle. ;) Happy birthday to your sweet pup! My golden girl is 8 years young, also. :)

  29. I didn't know there were chocolate dipped peeps. I think I'm going to Target tonight. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. PS I'm glad you enjoy Charlotte. I was born and raised about 60 miles from there, in Lexington.

  33. Happy birthday Charlie! I drool over the Naked palates but have yet to make the plunge. One day, one day I will. YES, my hubby is the same way!! It must be in the "man code" or something. :)

  34. Haha, I literally am laughing out loud- YES, my husband also pitches a fit when it comes time to bring down my totes from the attic. He was not pleased with me on Saturday when I asked him to bring down Easter and he lugged one down only for me to realize I had changed the contents and it was actually Valentines inside. He promptly made me re-label!
