Week 35 Bumpdate

How far along: 35 weeks

Baby Size: A honeydew melon {18 inches, 5.25 lbs}!

Weight gain: 27 lbs

Maternity clothes: I can still squeeze into a few non-maternity work tops, but all of my bottoms are 100% maternity. Also starting to panic about what sort of bathing suit I'll be able to fit into 7 weeks after delivery for our beach vacation...

Stretch marks: Nope.
Sleep: Okay once I can get comfortable.
Gender:  G-I-R-L!

Movement: She's a very active little lady these days. Sometimes her little dance moves can even be a bit painful.

Best moment this week: Our 34 week checkup and meeting our pediatrician!
Also, Matt deserves "hubby of the year." For weeks now he has been following me to my parking lot every morning, picking me up and driving me to my office a few blocks away. It has been so rainy and/or cold lately that he refuses to let me walk. He is so thoughtful and I'm thankful for him!

Looking forward to: Our baby shower this weekend!

Food cravings: The usual...fresh orange juice (with lots of pulp), egg sandwiches and pineapple!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No.
Labor Signs: Well, after lots of pelvic soreness I asked the doctor to check me out and he assured me that we are not making any progress in the labor department yet which I am thankful for! I want baby girl to stay in there until her due date!
What I miss: Doing anything comfortably - walking, sitting, sleeping, house chores, exercising, etc. Oh, and my thighs, not that they were awesome before pregnancy but now they are totally huge.
Symptoms: Back pain, heartburn, shortness of breath, tiredness, random belly pains, chub rub between my thighs, swelling and pelvic soreness. Some days I feel like I've been riding a horse all day when I get up to walk.
Nursery: The rest of our bedding finally arrived from Pottery Barn (after months of being back ordered) and our crib is now complete! Between my mom and my sister, we thankfully didn't have to purchase anything related to the crib at all. Caroline is one spoiled little girl!
Belly Button in or out? Dead even, unless I start laughing.

Wedding rings on or off? On...and the swelling has arrived in my feet, ankles and calves.

Mood: Exhausted but grateful for this pregnancy!

Workouts: This week I started switching up my gym routine for evening walks (which Charlie appreciates) around the neighborhood. With my belly support belt I can walk for about a mile before I am ready to call it quits.
Prayer for Caroline:
Dear Lord, Thank you for Caroline and for this pregnancy. Help me to get through these last weeks with minimal discomfort and strengthen me in preparation for the wonderful event of Caroline's birth. I pray for a quick and manageable delivery and ask for Caroline to be healthy and perfect in every way. In Jesus' wonderful name I pray. Amen.

  1. You look so cute! I suggest a tankini for this summer, something easy to nurse in! I wouldn't buy it until right before you go on vacation. Your body will be changing so quickly after she is born.

Thanks for the recommendations last week for our visit to Charlotte. Cowfish was excellent! My friend and I had a blast getting our hair done and sipping champagne at BLO!

  2. Look at that belly!!! You still look fantastic though! What a sweet hubby you've got there too. Caroline is such a lucky title girl xx

  3. Hah hang in there girly, you're in the home stretch! (and I hear ya on the swimsuit issue- our family beach vacation is 5 weeks after baby girl's due date, yikes!) Crib looks beautiful!

  4. I love everything about the nursery you've shown so far, so beautiful! So happy the pregnancy is going well so far and you get to meet her in a few weeks!

  5. My daughter is now 9 months old and I had the same pelvic pain towards the end of my pregnancy. I couldn't even finish a mile walk because to would hurt too bad towards the end. She stayed put until her actual due date, so don't worry about that meaning you are progressing in labor! :)

  6. cant wait to see you tonight! that matt...what a gem ;)

  7. You look seriously AMAZING, girlfriend! Getting down to the wire :)! Xx.

  8. What a fabulous husband! You're one lucky lady. You look fabulous!
