Asheville Bachelorette Weekend

Last weekend we celebrated May’s bachelorette party in Asheville. May is my very best friend, roommate and sorority sister from college and Asheville is one of my favorite cities so the weekend was definitely one for the books…

We had 11 girls for the weekend so we rented a great big cabin which came with a phenomenal view of downtown Asheville. It worked out so great. Shortly after we arrived a surprise delivery showed up – six bottles of Dom Perignon for our beautiful bridey. She was pretty dang surprised and shared her delicious champagne with us all weekend.

That afternoon we jumped on an Asheville Brews Cruise tour which may have been one of my favorite activities of the weekend.

A huge yellow mustache school bus arrived to pick us up and took us
to four breweries. Our tour stopped at Pisgah, Highland, French Broad and HiWire breweries. All of them were fantastic and unique. At each brewery we received 4 ounce pours of 3-4
beers.

For our brews cruise, May’s sister surprised us all with plaid shirts so we could be all matchy-matchy. Everyone loved their shirt and it made finding each other at crowded places much easier!

Sooo by brewery #2 we were all feeling pretty happy singing at the top of our lungs to
Whitney Houston and dancing our tails off.

By the end of the tour we had made friends with our Brews Cruise director so he offered to drop us off for one last stop at Wicked Weed Brewing where we drank a final beer and refueled with delicious bison burgers. Highly recommend this delicious place!

After dinner we continued the party back to the cabin for a lingerie shower.

The next morning we got up and went for one of my favorite hikes in DuPont Forest. I love this hike because it’s easy, short and you get to see Triple Falls!

Of course, this was totally an opportunity for a champagne toast with our bridey!

Hiking was awesome and we worked up an appetite so we headed back into town for a really yummy lunch at Buxton Hall

I had never been here but it was recommended to me by a lot of people so we tried it out and it definitely did not disappoint.

Everyone was licking their plates at lunch. The brussel sprouts were unreal. Unreal.

We got back to the house with enough time to relax for a bit and get ready for a night out on the town. Just before heading for downtown I passed out champagne & redbull jello shots that I had prepared for the party. Huge hit. I promise to post the recipe soon!

Ready to party!

For dinner we went to Nightbell. Katie Button is the Chef and also is a James Beard finalist for her other Asheville restaurant Curate, so I was dying to try this place out.

The lounge was so unbelievably perfect for a bachelorette party. Since it was tapas style we ordered tons and tons of small plates for the table to share and everyone was really happy. The cocktails were also so fun and girly. My cocktail came garnished with freshly blow-torched rosemary.

After dinner we did some bar hopping which included lots of dancing and live music. It was perfect.

The next morning we had one last delicious meal together at Corner Kitchen – another favorite restaurant of mine!

We had so much fun reminiscing our fun night and reviewing 50+ poloroid photos from the weekend.

Also worth mentioning how delicious the goat cheese grits and cream cheese scrambled eggs are here! My favorite!

And that’s a wrap on a super fun weekend!
