Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! We spent Easter weekend in Winston-Salem with Matt’s family.

ย ย Also, for those of you wondering, I am halfway through The Paris Wife and it is really good so far. Matt stole this idea from the comments in my {Currently Reading} post after several girls recommended it.
Saturday we did a little sofa shopping. There is really nothing fun about shopping for a couch. It goes a little like this: I fall head over heels in love with a sofa, flip the tag over {Matt gives me the NO WAY look) and we tearfully walk away.
Saturday night Matt and I cooked dinner for his parents. We made one of our favorite meals – Grilled Tilapia with Avocado Salsa {recipe here}. Everyone loved it!
We finished Easter Sunday with the intense finale of The Bible on the History Channel {series information here}.
Have you thought about going to Hickory or Highpoint to sofa shop? Good deals!
Sounds like so much fun! Easter baskets from the parents are the best!
That cake looks delicious! I'm going to have to try that out!!!

Ha! My hubby is the same way about early gifts…I have to refuse them!
Your cooking looks delish! I think I might do the recipe tonight I happen to have tilapia out for dinner tonight! Yay thanks for the recipe! I so agree on the intense finale of the bible series! I did some crying no scratch that I was sobbing!
Your husband is so sweet and so thoughtful! I got that candle over the weekend and am loving it!! It's so fresh and spring-like! I am glad to hear that you are loving The Paris Wife. It's actually on my list to read, and I migth have to read it next. Also, that Grilled Tilapia with Avocado Salsa looks amazing, and I might have to try and make it this week! I have started getting into fish, and am looking for some tasty, and somewhat easy, recipes to try ๐ Oh and we started the Bible series (On Demand) late last week, so I am still catching up, but can't wait to see the finale!!
Your husband is so sweet to put together such a nice basket! I'm sort of in love with that sofa in the picture – where's it from? And I'm definitely making that tilapia dish – it looks amazing! Thanks!
Hah! We've been to the exact store and my husband quickly gave me the no way look as well as soon as he saw a few prices of some I had been eyeing! We drove all over..Matthews…Hickory,etc. you should try Biggerstaff Furniture in Gastonia..I promise it's not ghetto..we got a wonderful deal on a Bassett couch that we love and had previously found in Hickory at a much higher price. We were able to customize the fabric as well as pillows, etc. Happy Hunting!!
Aww I want an Easter basket! Looks like so much fun. Haha I went to Bassett this weekend and got the same look from my husband about the price tag!
I've been dying to try that cake recipe! It's on the agenda for this week!
I might have to try that cake! We got a box shipped to us with Easter goodies in it from my husbands parents. Such a nice Easter basket treat!
That cake does look delish!!I love your moms baskets, I do hate buying that stuff! I remember my first year of college asking for shampoo, etc for Christmas because I was so broke and didn't want to buy it! Thank goodness for mamas!
Wow, Sounds like you had a fun filled Easter! And how sweet of your mom– she did good! xo, Jenna
