Five on Friday - Carolina Charm

Happy Friday! Thanks for all the opinions on the fridge poll! Y’all mentioned a lot of things I hadn’t thought about so it was really helpful.

one // Over the weekend I did a little planty project using the cutest planter set and love how it turned out. I’m an overwater-er (?) so I hope I can put the watering can down and let these low maintenance plants thrive in our sunny dining room.

three // After screaming about hating his “baby bed” (AKA toddler bed) for the past few weeks at 2 am each morning we finally upgraded Tom Tom to a big boy bed with shark sheets!!! Now if we can just keep him in it! Currently, he likes to get up at 5 am in the morning to go potty and then NOT return to his bed. Instead, he prefers to wake his sister up (and us)! And yes, we have an OK to Wake! clock — he just doesn’t care to follow the rules, he also isn’t incentivized by stamps, sticker charts, treats, toys, a puppy, etc. So yeah, we’ve all been well-rested and not snippy at all with each other the past few weeks. It’s been awesome.

four // An appropriate segway — I picked up some Ketel One grapefruit & rose vodka last weekend and really liked it. I still don’t think it beats my favorite summer Deep Eddy’s cocktail but it is close. I used soda water + lots of fresh lime. But one of my readers suggested using La Croix grapefruit and I am pretty sure that is going to blow my mind.

five // I snagged this new twist peplum top for work recently and have received SO many compliments on it. I am wearing the size 2 and it runs short so I layer a tank underneath. I am on the hunt for a cute black pencil or mini skirt for another way to style it.
