Our annual family photos are always so much work but totally worth it. Per usual, I waited until the last week to pull our outfits together which meant I scrambled to ship half a dozen dresses to my house to try on from Nordstrom and Amazon…and I didn’t like any of them. So I ended up wearing one of my favorite Amazon dresses from last year. And because I wasn’t sure what color my dress would be, I also purchased Caroline’s dress in 4 colors. (I ended up keeping two colors because the dress is SO cute). Matt is always the easiest to dress since he basically has a mini J.Crew store in our closet. And Thomas was unexpectedly the hardest this year because it didn’t occur to me that I hadn’t purchased any dressier clothes throughout the pandemic since we weren’t going to church…or anywhere. The night before our photos I drove to 3 different Old Navy stores looking for the only pair of pants that properly fit him. And then I bribed him squeeze into way too small shoes for the pictures (which he complained about the entire time).
But like I said…worth it…

Very nice family photo. It's great when a family can get together for these plein air photos and respect to the photographer who can do his job so well.
