White Christmas Margaritas

I’m dreaminggg of White Christmas Margaritas!

This creamy coconut margarita is what tropical Christmas dreams are made of. It’s festive, delicious, and basically a white snowy Christmas in a glass. Garnish with a few cranberries and rosemary to really add some Christmas spirit to this stunning cocktail.

And it’s easy to scale for entertaining, making it a great pitcher drink for Christmas or any other occasion you’re hosting a crowd.

White Christmas Margaritas Ingredients

  • Tequila: Use your favorite tequila for this recipe! My favorite brand for margaritas is Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila. It’s 100% pure agave, clean (additive-free), and has a balanced and smooth taste. It is one of the most awarded super-premium Tequilas on the market and is a solid value — a 750 ml bottle is priced around $30.
  • Cointreau: You can use Triple Sec if you really want to, but Cointreau is my orange liqueur preference as it offers a more balanced, well-rounded flavor.
  • Lime Juice: Must be fresh. Trust me. The juice is worth the squeeze.
  • Unsweetened Coconut Milk: OK, THIS IS IMPORTANT. I’ve used a variety of can brands for this recipe and they have all been good. But the key is to MIX the coconut milk REALLY good before adding to your cocktail, otherwise it will separate. You can even blend it if you want to be sure it’s really mixed well.
  • Agave Nectar: You can also use honey or simple syrup if you prefer, but light agave nectar, or agave syrup, is a natural sweetener that really compliments the lime juice. Currently, I’m using Madhava Organic Amber Agave, a clean, simple, and organic option.
  • Pitcher: Use whatever pitcher you want. I love my large Ona Pitcher!

White Christmas Margaritas Variations

You can make this cocktail on the rocks or blend with ice for a frozen margarita. I’ve made it both ways and prefer this cocktail on the rocks instead of blending it — but both versions are delicious.

White Christmas Margaritas (Single Cocktail)

If you don’t need a full pitcher and are looking to make a single cocktail, here’s the recipe for one!

  • 2 oz unsweetened coconut milk
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 1.5 oz lime juice

Where does the agave nectar go in the recipe? Just as needed? And what garnish did you use for the glass rim, salt or something else? Thank you!!

Do you use the top cream of the coconut milk in the can? or just the water at the bottom for this drink? Or do you blend itself first to use?

yes! I mix it up really well first though so it doesn't separate!
