Yesterday we brought 22+ lbs of apples home with us from Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard on our way back from Asheville. Despite the 300 degree temperatures, the wagon rolling away from us down a hill with Thomas on it (laughing — funny to him and not to us) and Matt picking 85% of the apples for us…it was super fun. Stepp’s was the perfect orchard to visit — it’s family owned & operated, wasn’t picked through at all and sells the most delicious apple cider donuts & slushies! And on our way out we shot apples from an apple cannon — huge hit all around for everyone.
Bring on all the apple recipes!
