I burned my scalp a few weeks ago and have been battling an embarrassing case of dandruff ever since. It has been an absolutely nightmare.
Out of desperation I purchased up a bottle of Selsun Blue. I used it one time and threw it away. My hair smelled so terrible it was nauseating. A few days later I picked up a bottle of Head & Shoulders. The results were weak at best. My next purchase was the new Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy. Hopeful, I gave the shampoo a week trial period. Although it smelled amazing, I was still flaking after 7 washes.
After some serious internet research I stopped into Ulta and picked up Giovanni Invigorating Tea Tree Triple Treat shampoo and conditioner. Giovanni uses formulas that incorporate vitamins, herbs, minerals, proteins, nutrients and the purest of essential oils. The shampoo bottle states that it removes all traces of dirt, oil and build-up, increases scalp circulation, strengthens hair and alleviates dry, flaky scalp…
I am happy to report this shampoo and conditioner actually worked! Not only did it immediately restore the moisture to my scalp, the shampoo has an enjoyable tingle effect {thanks to the tea tree oil}. Oh, and the scent is very herbal and minty {reminds me of Aveda products}. The conditioner is just as invigorating and initiates a cooling feeling on the skin. I will definitely be switching to this combo full time, dry scalp or not.

The moral of the story is to apply sunscreen to your scalp! However, if you forget and get burned, hopefully this post will save you a few shampoo trials.
Have you stumbled upon any amazing hair products recently?
I am always looking for new shampoo. Maybe I need to try it?? Hate to hear about your poor little head honey!
Too funny, I burned mine right near my hairline over labor day weekend and I keep on checking it out hoping it will be gone. I might have to run to Ulta this weekend, seriously. Girl problems, I tell you!
Ahh a burnt scalp is the worst! Happens to me far too often. I'll have to remember this shampoo & conditioner next summer! ๐
I used to use this stuff!!! I loved it! They actually sell it at Whole Foods too..so you know it's gotta be good ๐
Christina, Thank You!!I have been battling AWFUL dry scalp for awhile now and have tried at least 6 different shampoos of all kinds including 2 other tea tree formulations. I saw this and picked the shampoo up at ulta today (they didn't have the conditioner). I obviously can't say yet that it went away, but I definitely feel the cooling on my scalp and nothing else has done that so far.I'm so glad I found your blog!
I use this conditioner ALL the time and it's amazing! My daughters and I have long, curly hair and it really helps with the tangles. I buy it at Marshall's for $12.
Thank you so much for the recommendation. I picked the shampoo and conditioner up at Ulta last night and tested it out this morning. I have fallen in love.
