Father’s Day Weekend!

one: Friday night we let the kids stay up a little past their bedtime running around outside while we sipped cocktails. Once they went to bed we grilled out and relaxed on our back patio for awhile.

two, three & four: On Saturday we met our friends at the splash pad for a super fun morning of water play and playground climbing. Afterwards we went out for BBQ together for lunch!

five: Matt’s favorite treat in the world is a blizzard from Dairy Queen. He would eat it every night if I let him. So for Father’s Day we surprised him with an oreo blizzard cake from Dairy Queen!

six. I didn’t think I could top last year’s Father’s Day gift…but I managed to one up myself by surprising Matt with a custom suit from Ole Mason Jar. He has been talking about a custom suit for like 3 years and so I decided to surprise him with one. He claims this is the best gift I’ve ever given him.

seven. Thanks to daycare the kiddos presented Matt with the loveliest cards!

eight. We met Matt’s parents for lunch at PF Changs! It was a nice lunch and the kids behaved themselves once we pulled the iPhone movies out. Afterwards we FaceTimed with my dad too!

nine. We wrapped up Father’s Day by successfully tricked the kids into an early bedtime after some driveway waterplay and ate dinner outside. I roasted grape tomatoes and broccolini and served it alongside a rack of ribs.
