one. Last weekend Matt assembled our new patio furniture. The instructions estimated a 3 hour assembly time but with the help of two minis it took about 9 hours.
two. There is nothing worse than stepping out of the shower to a towel that smells like it sat a little too long in the washer machine! Every now and then I deep clean all my towels at once. Here’s how I do it: Wash your towels in hot water with one cup of vinegar (only). Wash towels in hot water again with 1/2 cup of baking soda. Throw them in the dryer and enjoy your fresh towels!
three. It’s been a hot minute since I blogged about my love for Parsley Plus, but I just received a new bulk shipment and had to give my favorite earth-friendly household cleaning product of all time a shout out. If you love the smell of fresh herbs this product is for you (and your counter tops!).
four. We are working SO hard on getting Tom Tom to graduate from taking a few steps to walking! He definitely knows how to take a few steps at a time unassisted but always ends up choosing to crawl instead. And if he isn’t crawling he is climbing. He knows how to get on and off Caroline’s bed, can get on and off the couch by scooting a chair over as a step stool and is frequently found just standing on top of his chair laughing at us having a heart attack. Anyway, we are beyond ready for him to begin walking so we can set him down in public places, ditch the snap & go stroller and give him a little more independence. Plus he moves up to the next class in two weeks and will be on the big playground every day and really dislikes crawling in mulch so we’re working hard to get him to let go of the tip of our finger and take off. Also, the most steps he’ll take at a time is to…you guessed it…his sissy. She is so dang cute with her cheerleading “Come on, Tom Tom! You can do it! Come here! Come to me! Come on!”
five. Favorite HelloFresh meal this week goes to…Steak Fajitas with Kiwi Salsa & Crispy Beans!!! Hands down the best fajitas ever. And kiwi isn’t something I would ever think to add to my tex-mex but I’m so glad I did. Check out this recipe to make it yourself. Use promo code MG8GKD for $40 off your first box! That means you can try out HelloFresh for $29 and then cancel after your box arrives or keep on going.

Ha ha yep, doing anything with kids around triples the time it should take you to finish! Thanks for the towel tip, I will for sure be trying that!
I think your missing the link for the party. š
My day is always made when you have a new post! Had a total fan girl moment when I met your husband this week! You all are such an inspiration!
That story made my day! š

I do the same with my towels! I actually use vinegar every time I do laundry. It's a great laundry softener!
Melts my heart seeing the pic of C encourage Thomas to take some steps! Nothing stronger than a sibling bond!
Love Thomas and Caroline together! That is too funny about the patio furniture!
Oooh kiwi salsa in those tacos?! That sounds amazing!! Thanks for the tip on deep cleaning towels, too. I feel like I listen for the beep, especially with towels, to make sure they don't smell bad, but after a while, it just happens!Meg, Borrowed Heaven
We've been doing a lot of laundry for flooded friends. A cup of lemon pine sol in the wash makes everything smell good including the house!!
I would love to try hello [email protected]
I would love to try it too! [email protected]
I'm amazed at how vinegar is such an unsung cleaning hero. I've definitely used it to work magic on towels… and I'm always pleased with how it comes out!!
Good running tights are just that… tight, yet they breathe to allow moisture to escape and keep your dry and cool. Now these from http://www.carbon38.com do the trick, they keep tight for an entire workout and then some, from the workout to the car to the grocery.
um… did I comment on time for Hello Fresh?? š
