Valentine’s Day is one holiday that I never thought could get better with a baby. I had so much fun this year preparing for our little holiday. Cupcakes from scratch and fancy dinners out were replaced with Harris Teeter baked cupcakes and a home cooked steak dinner after bedtime. I wouldn’t trade this life for the world.

I hope Caroline is feeling better! What cute Valentine cards! And I am all for eating in pjs!
Valentine's Day with children is definitely different than it was before – but like you, I think it's even better this way:) Sorry to hear that little Caroline wasn't feeling 100%, but glad that you guys got to spend some good quality time together. Loving the little valentines that you sent out with her picture on them. Too cute!:)
It looks like you had such a fun Valentine's Day! I have that exact same C Wonder Tote and I absolutely love it. I thought it was too big at first, but I love that it fits everything, plus some. I hope your baby girl is feeling better, Happy Monday!
Your day sounds lovely!
Hope the fever is gone! All great gift choices, but I'm sitting here swooning over that gingham tissue paper you used in Matt's gift. I need to find some!
Such a sweet baby! It sounds like a perfect weekend (besides Caroline being sick). I must know, how do you get your sweet potato fries to cook so perfectly?!! No matter what I seem to do, more than half of them burn!
Sounds like a lovely Valentine's weekend! I hope Caroline is feeling better today!
Sounds like the perfect weekend ( minus the sick baby). My husband and I always prefer to stay in on V-day and cook rather then to eat in a crowded restaurant.
The cutest Valentines memories – oh how it changes when you have kiddies x
Your little girl is too sweet! Your dinner looked A M A Z I N G! I always think home cooked meals are better than eating out! <3
How she is feeling better. What precious Valentine's she gave out. Sometimes the nights in are the best!
We did steaks at home too. I splurged on a "good" bottle of wine since we were staying in & it was a great night.
We have made the same baked steaks for Valentine's Day the last couple of years too! We totally agree, dinner at home is so much better than fighting the crowds.
Caroline is absolutely adorable!! Love the Valentines she gave out 🙂 The moscow mule basket is a great idea!!
sounds like a fantastic valentines day! i hope caroline is feeling better! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
this sounds like an amazing valentines day! my fiancé and i made homemade pizza and exchanged just some cards and candy because we are getting married in 2 weeks! just wanted to keep things low key. i LOVE all of your valentines ideas though.
Hope Caroline is all better now! Y'alls dinner looks AMAAAAAAAAAAZING!! I had NO energy this year for V Day (#36weekspregnant), so we had cereal. FOR REAL. Did you just stir fry the broccoli? I'm SO not a chef, so if it involves more than 5 steps or 5 ingredients, I'm out. Ha.
oh my goodness, Caroline is adorable!! I'm sure your family loved the V day cards. Glad you all had a great weekend :)xoxoKarenhttp://kensingtonwest.me.uk
Sounds like a good weekend despite the fever! Hope she is feeling better now!
Hope Caroline is feeling better! Looks like such a fun Valentines Day! Did you make the labels yourself and how do you do it? Thanks!
Hi Christina! You must get this ALLL the time, but do you make your own gift tags? Every time you wrap a gift you always have the cutest gift tags! I must know your secret!! 🙂
What a fun little Valentine's Day! I am totally with you on making your own yummy dinner at home and not having to put up with crowds of people bad reservation times. I'm glad you were able to have a sweet little Valentine's Day even though Caroline was sick; I hope she's feeling better!
Loved all your valentines…adorable yet practical too 🙂 totally over the sickness this winter…these poor babies!
Absolutely love the Moscow mule kit! I may use that for my hubby's birthday!!
So awesome that you got her teachers something! The dinner you two cooked, looks better then something from a restaurant! It's got my mouth watering! I'm so sorry the little lady is sick… I'll keep her in my prayers!
That dinner looks DELICIOUS! Love the Moscow Mule basket!
