Happy Valentine’s Week!
This year I didn’t really have much time to decorate as much as I have in the past, but I do have a few cute details around our home to share.
Pink tulips, homemade sugar cookies and The Meaning of Marriage – a perfect little coffee table combo.
And I totally slacked on the chalkboard for this holiday. I’m not sure which is worse, the fact that I just took down our Christmas chalk art this week, or that instead of handwriting a new design for V-day, I chose to just tape up a chalkboard print and add a banner.
I didn’t even go to great lengths to hide the tape. So yeah, that’s about as much “decorating” as I plan to do this year for V-day. Friday night Matt and I are sticking to our Valentine dinner tradition at Cajun Queen!

Girl, go easy on yourself! You are working full-time, pregnant and still running a million miles an hour with your activities! The fact that you got ANYTHINg up is AMAZING! Happy Monday! Cheers,Samara ๐
Sometimes less is best ๐ The flowers are a great addition, and I don't think I've seen that coffee table before! I think it's time for another updated tour of your living room!
We don't have much in the way of Valentine's decor this year either, don't feel bad! Pretty flowers and garland are perfect!!
Love the flowers!! You've done much more than I have– there's NOTHING up around here that would give you any idea that it's Valentine's Week and my last name IS Hart.
I'm with you on the lack of decorations but everything you do have up is adorable! The tulips are gorgeous! – M
I have ZERO decorations up! So behind…I will live through yours, okay?! ๐
You've inspired me. I need tulips today!
The fact that you decorated at all is amazing to me!
I skipped the decorating this year since we are living in a hotel, but you are making me wish that I didn't! Your home looks so cute! I want to check out that book. Have you read it yet? Happy Monday!Ashley, Married to the Game
You make me want tulips! Don't be hard on yourself, being pregnant and working is the hardest thing ever.
You are ahead of me! I haven't even bothered to get any decorations out! Next year though… next year!!
the flowers are beautiful! i dont really decorate for holidays but i like your garland too! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
Your chalkboard looks great! Handwritten or not…mine isn't hand written and still doesn't look half as good haha. Love all the Valentine's Day touches ๐
At least you got something up! My decor is still sitting in our crawl space for this year- total fail! I love your tray!
That's more than I got done, so you go girl!
That looks way better than whats currently on my chalkboard haha!! I love tulips – they always make me feel like spring is right around the corner!
Um, so I have a pair of adorable love bird salt and pepper shakers out for Valentine's Day, and sadly, that is IT. You're doing better than me, for sure!
It still counts!!
those tulips are so festive. bring on the spring.www.wearflowersinyourhair.com
Tulips are my favorite flower! SO pretty. LOVE the chalkboard print out. ๐
Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go! I love all your decorations, even if they are few ๐ And, until you said something, I didn't realize that you hadn't hand-lettered your chalkboard :)ashleynicoleholmes.blogspot.com
Well, your decorating this year is ahead of me! I have nothing too valentine's to speak up put up. And to my surprise, Collin is very excited about Valentine's day this year! He keeps asking when it is. I feel a bit sad for him, though, because he thinks Daddy gets to stay home from work. ๐ But, we'll celebrate and make him (and Emma & Robert) feel extra loved and special. ๐
haha love that you taped that!! Still very cute! ๐
Love your honesty!! But you're being too hard, I think it all looks so fun!! Being pregnant is hard and things like that take a backseat, especially when your this far along. Enjoy yourself mama!!
LOVE Cajun Queen! Yum! Your home is more decorated than ours. Pink tulips are so pretty!
I am loving those pink tulips!
less is more this year for us too! I didn't even bother to ask Stephen to drag down my Valentines box from upstairs. I bought a few things from Hobby Lobby and I'm quite content!
I love the tulips! They are so pretty! And hey, at least you decorated, that's more than I did ๐
Such cute decorations!
Love the chalkboard!
