Weekend Rewind | October 2019

Happy Halloween Week! And happy teacher workday for Caroline. Alright, let’s rewind the weekend…

Friday

Friday evening we had family movie night and watched Mrs. Doubtfire. We have been ordering pizza from new places across Charlotte each week and although I thought last week’s pizza from Uncle Maddio’s Pizza was my favorite, I think we’ve found my new favorite — Gusto Farm to Street! Holy moly it was amazing!!!! For dessert, I surprised the kids with painted ghost sugar cookies I picked up from a bakery on my way home from work. Turns out they’d rather have a handful of oreos than fancy cookies, so lesson learned on $5 cookies.

Saturday

Saturday morning Matt and the kids spread cobwebs all over the bushes in our front yard to finish our Halloween decorating. And I met my girlfriends at the spa for the afternoon! For the third year in a row, Matt and a few other husbands gifted us mamas a spa day for Mother’s Day — and we love to cash it in during the fall. 2018 // 2017

Saturday evening we carved pumpkins and grilled steaks for Steak Night.

Sunday

Sunday my friend Lindsey did my hair and makeup and then we had our annual fall family photos! Afterwards Caroline and I baked a batch of brownies, roasted our pumpkin seeds and I made potato soup (recipe coming soon) for dinner. Then we all crashed into bed by 8 pm because two little people have been up a LOT lately in the middle of the night and we were all overdue for a good nights sleep!Matt Shirt // Tom Shirt // Christina Dress // Caroline Dress
