Grove Park Inn Girls Weekend

If you’re looking for the perfect Grove Park Inn girls weekend, I have your itinerary covered! I recently spent two nights at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville with my sister, and it was truly the dreamiest mountain getaway.

I’ve stayed at the Grove Park Inn many times over the years for family trips, work trips, couples getaways, and girls weekends, and it continues to be one of my favorite places in Asheville. This time, we checked in and never left the property, packing our weekend with spa time, incredible meals, cocktail mountain views, and plenty of time to relax and catch up. I’m sharing our exact two-night itinerary below so you can steal it for your next girls trip!

Our 2-Night Grove Park Inn Girls Weekend Itinerary

One of my favorite things about staying at the Grove Park Inn is that the resort itself is the destination. There is so much to eat, drink, see and do on property that once you check in, you can put away your car keys and fully settle into vacation mode.

Day 1: Check-In, Cocktails & Dinner at Edison

Once you check in, kick off the weekend with a cocktail from the Great Hall Bar. We ordered spicy margaritas and took them out to the terrace, where we grabbed two rocking chairs overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and it was absolutely heavenly.

From there, take some time to explore the gorgeous property before heading to your room. The Grove Park Inn is huge, and part of the fun is wandering through the historic Main Inn, checking out the shops, and finding all the cozy little nooks tucked throughout the resort. And you absolutely have to spend some time in the Great Hall. The massive stone fireplaces are one of my favorite parts of the property, especially with a cocktail (or coffee) in hand.

Dinner at Edison

For your first night, make a reservation at Edison, Craft Ales + Kitchen. It’s casual enough for your arrival night but still feels special, with a huge outdoor patio and mountain views.

We sat outside and ordered ahi tuna bites, harvest bowls with salmon, French fries, and glasses of crisp sauvignon blanc.

TIP: If the weather cooperates, request a table outside. The patio is such a fun spot to settle in for dinner while the sun goes down over the mountains.

Nightcap at Elaine’s

Don’t go to bed just yet! After dinner, head to Elaine’s Dueling Piano Bar for a nightcap and live music. It’s located right inside the resort and the vibes are SO good.

And then call it a night because Day 2 is SPA DAY!

Day 2: Breakfast & A Full Day At The Spa

Start day two with breakfast at Blue Ridge, and come hungry because the breakfast buffet is MASSIVE! It literally spans two rooms filled with everything from made-to-order breakfast favorites to pastries, fruit, tons of hot items, and plenty of gluten-free options.

My personal recommendation: do not skip the mini frittatas. We both went back for more!

The Grove Park Inn Spa

If you’re planning a Grove Park Inn girls weekend, I would absolutely dedicate an entire day to the spa. Don’t try to squeeze it into a few hours. This is one of those places where you check in in the morning and suddenly realize you’ve been there all day.

The 43,000-square-foot subterranean spa is an experience all on its own. We spent hours bouncing between the underground mineral pools, waterfall whirlpools, eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, contrast pools, and all the little relaxation areas tucked throughout the spa.

And you HAVE to try the contrast pools! The idea is to alternate between hot and cold, but my cold plunge lasted approximately 1 minute before I bailed.

We each had an incredible 80-minute Grove Park Classic Massage, then grabbed lunch at the Spa Cafe without ever having to get out of our robes. We both ordered the tuna poke bowl, which was delicious and exactly what we wanted after a morning at the spa. After lunch, we took our books and champagne out to the outdoor pool and spent the rest of the afternoon doing absolutely nothing. It was perfect.

A few tips: book your treatments well in advance. The Grove Park Inn Spa is incredibly popular, and appointments can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. And before you leave, don’t miss the homemade salt scrub in the women’s locker room! Fill a tiny cup to take back to your room!

Cocktails & Dinner at Sunset Terrace

After a full day at the spa, we stopped by the Presidents Lounge for cocktails to bring back to our room while we got ready for dinner. Getting ready together to Fleetwood Mac, mezcal cocktails, and approximately 47 beauty products spread across the room is honestly half the fun of a sisters trip.

For your final dinner, make a reservation at Sunset Terrace and try to time it around sunset. The open-air restaurant overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, settled in, and watched the mountains change colors as the sun went down.

And whatever you do, order the caviar cones! They’re tiny cones filled with crème fraîche, egg, caviar, diced shallots, and chives, and they are SO good. Everything on the menu is amazing, so you really can’t go wrong. This is the kind of dinner where you order a bottle of wine, settle in, and stay awhile.

Tip: Make your Sunset Terrace reservation early and request a table with a mountain view. If you can snag a reservation around sunset, even better.

Day 3: Sleep In, Sunset Trail & One Last Breakfast

After two full days, sleep in! Once you’re up, grab a cup of coffee from The Marketplace and head outside for a walk along The Sunset Trail. It’s an easy way to get some fresh air and a few steps in before breakfast, with beautiful views around the property along the way.

Then head back to Blue Ridge for one last breakfast before checking out and heading home.

Two nights really was the perfect amount of time for this trip. We packed in so much without ever feeling rushed, and because we stayed entirely on property, it actually felt like a getaway instead of a weekend spent running from one reservation to the next.

Honestly, I would copy this exact Grove Park Inn girls weekend itinerary all over again.
