I recently hosted a Mahjong Girls Lunch to celebrate a little viral mahjong magic with one of my besties, and it was our dream afternoon, complete with Bam Bird martinis, crispy truffle fries, the prettiest salads, and of course, plenty of rounds of Siamese mahjong. - Takeout from 131 Main (because they have the best salads and truffle fries)
- Bam Bird Cocktail Glasses: Yes, they are completely ridiculous, hilarious to drink from, annoying to clean, and honestly? I love them SO MUCH. If your house rule is to “cheers” every time a bam bird is discarded, you probably need these.

Siamese Mahjong
For our Mahjong Girls Lunch, we played Siamese mahjong, which is one of my favorite ways to play. It’s faster-paced than traditional mahjong, which means we can fit in several rounds between bites and sips without feeling rushed. With just two players, you each play two hands at once, so the game stays lively and competitive the whole time. It’s the perfect choice for a lunch date—plenty of time for chatting, enjoying the food, and still getting that satisfying “one more game” feeling. If you haven’t tried Siamese yet, I highly recommend it!
