Today I am 33!

I am feeling so dang happy, healthy and blessed to turn 33 today! No really, I have never, ever been more thankful to be healthy — for my whole family to be healthy actually. It’s something we don’t take for granted around here. And I know it sounds so cliche, but I feel so abundantly blessed right now that I’m actually struggling with how to enjoy it. Isn’t that weird? For years and years we’ve lived under a constant dark cloud of stress and sadness and I don’t know how to operate under normal conditions now. So my wish for this next year is to stop trying to brace myself for the next trial to come and instead lean in to my blessings.

For my birthday, the fam surprised me with gorgeous flowers from my favorite florist, a blow out gift card and Caroline quadruple wrapped (and used a whole roll of tape) on her gift to me — some sharpies from my marker bucket and paper from my craft bin so we could color together (her favorite thing to do right now), as well as mini ziploc bag filled with chocolate. Well done, Caroline. Well done! Matt has a big surprise in store for me this weekend that I have been trying to figure out for over a month. I’m terrified it might be a puppy. Now tell me where I can get ALL the free stuff today?! First up, Starbucks…
