Best Gifts for 7 Year Old Girls
  1. Skipidipi Disc: Caroline LOVED this retro “Skipit” toy. It’s also a fun way to improve coordination and encourage outside play.
  2. furReal Poopalots Big Wags Interactive Pet Toy: There are a bunch of animals you can buy from the collection — and they are hilarious. You can walk, feed and clean up after these little pets.
  3. Make Your Own GEM Keychains: Caroline received this as a birthday gift from a friend and absolutely loved this kit. She spent hours decorating all 5 keychains and then gifted them to her friends on the last day of summer camp — it was so sweet!
  4. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition: The illustrated version is definitely worth the splurge and is especially perfect for introducing this magical world to younger kids!
  5. Reversible Sequin Secret Diary: The best place to pen down all the names of crushes.
  6. Barbie Deluxe 20-Piece Glitter and Go Styling Head: A fun way to learn to braid as well as all sorts of other hair styles!
  7. Mermaid Fin: The best toy of summer! I cannot tell you how much time Caroline spent pretending to be a mermaid in the pool. This fin is worth every penny and more!
  8. Water Rocket Kit:  This Rocket Kit provided endless hours of entertainment for our kids a few summers ago. This stem toy is seriously impressive (and slightly terrifying – ha) and blasts insanely high (90 feet!!!!) into the air. I cannot recommend this rocket high enough. It is so fun, the kids can put it together on their own and it’s durable (I expected it to break after hitting the ground a million times but hasn’t)!
  9. Magic Tree House Boxed Set, Books 1-28: We received this collection passed down from a neighbor and Caroline (and Thomas) both love it. And it was highly recommended by Caroline’s teacher too!
  10. Our Generation Dolls: This entire collection is massive and selecting a doll from the aisle at Target was pretty difficult. And once you select the doll, there are a million accessories, clothes, pets and play sets you can purchase for your doll. Highly recommend sending this to grandma and grandpa to tackle — let them go wild with the accessories.
  11. Barbie Dreamhouse: Caroline’s favorite birthday gift when she turned 7. I still can’t get past the fact that it has an elevator.
  12. Kinetic Sand: Our kids have gone through a LOT of kinetic sand over the years. Great for rainy or snowy day activities too.
  13. Sorry Board Game: Our family plays a lot of board games and this is one of our faves!
  14. Scooter: This awesome scooter features adjustable settings and is easy to fold and store (making it the perfect for travel too).
  15. Bean Bag Chair: The most cozy place to relax.
  16. Happy Nappers Sleeping Bag: The perfect sleepover sleeping bag. So many options to pick from too!
  17. YAMAHA P71 88-Key Weighted Action Digital Piano: I spent a TON of time researching keyboards and we ended up getting this one because it was specifically recommended by several piano teacher readers and features a full keyboard with all 88 keys. We also received advice that if you start small, you’ll just end up buying a bigger one down the road so it’s better to invest upfront. It also features weighted keys which feels more like a real piano.
  18. Bow & Arrow Set: I’ve blogged about this set a few times. It was a pandemic purchase that our kids still love and use all the time. My advice is to go ahead and pick up some extra arrows and stash them in the back of your closet for when you need them!
  19. The Floor is Lava: Our favorite game to gift for birthday parties. What kid doesn’t love pretending the floor is hot lava?!
  20. Bead Set: If you’re a friend, teacher, bus driver or family member of Caroline, odds are strong you’ve received a handmade bracelet from this set. We’ve gone through a trillion beads in our house this year.
  21. Personalized Apron & Mitt Set: Personalized (for free!!) one of these cute aprons to surprise Caroline with on Christmas!! There are so many cute patterns to pick from and each apron includes a gorgeous custom leather tag.
  22. The Original AirFort — Build A Fort in 30 Seconds: I LOVE a toy that can be built in seconds and is easy to break down and store! The perfect toy to travel with for (road trip) vacations too. There are lots of colors/themes to choose from. Don’t forget to grab a box fan!
  23. Spa Nail Kit: A great nail polish art kit that comes with a variety of nail polishes, decals, glitter powders and an air drying machine.
  24. Disney Princess Cookbook: To go with a new apron (#21), this simple cookbook includes 50 beginner-friendly recipes, including dishes like Rapunzel-inspired Frying Pan Eggs, Tiana-inspired Bayou Meatloaf, Moana-inspired Te Fiti Tropical Punch, and many more
  25. Echo Dot Kids with parental controls: Our kids LOVE their echo dots and use them to listen to audio books and music, ask a million questions, set timers, etc.
