I am always on the hunt for quick kid-friendly meals that I can easily throw together on a weeknight. I’m not calling this a “recipe post” because that would be a stretch. It’s more of a “meal hack” post that I thought I would share because these are the types of dinners we are always looking for more of to add to our dinner rotation. So without further ado, I present to you the easiest dinner ever…
Trader Joe’s Sirloin Tacos Kit with Trader Joe’s Mexican Street Corn
The taco kit is $9.99 and makes 6 tacos (so if your kids are older you may need two kits). We barely got by with one kit but made it work by adding a side of street corn which you just dump into a skillet to warm up and top with crumbled cotija cheese. We couldn’t believe how well marinated and delicious the sirloin was. Everyone loved the tacos but the kids thought the street corn was “spicy” and didn’t eat it. However, it was so good that we happily ate theirs. Besides adding a ripe avocado I had on hand to the guacamole, it was awesome not having to dice up a bunch of veggies. This meal is quick and delicious — highly recommend!
I see all these yummy meals you make from Trader Joe’s, but the closest one for me is Raleigh! 😩 Do you know of another market that has similar items?
