Korean Beef Bowl Ingredients & Adaptions
- Beef: Use your favorite meat — ground beef, ground pork, ground turkey, or ground chicken. We love ground pork and ground beef — sometimes we mix the two together as well!
- Rice: If you prefer to use regular white rice, cook it using your favorite method. For a low-carb option, you can use fresh or frozen cauliflower rice.
- Coconut Aminos: A healthier sauce substitute for soy sauce.
- Ground Ginger: Don’t forget to look in your freezer section for frozen ginger cubes if you want a shortcut for mincing fresh ginger.
- Veggies & Variations: We love the delicious crunch of carrots and cucumbers for this dish. Other great additions would be shredded cabbage, sliced avocado.
- Fried Egg: Don’t skip the sunny side up egg — it really pulls this dish together, packs some extra protein in, and makes it extra filling!
- Spicy Mayo: You can quickly make this sauce by mixing together 1/2 cup mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons sriracha. For a shortcut, we really love Primal Kitchen Spicy Mayo.
