Recipe & Cooking Tips

  • Burger Press: I highly recommend a cast iron burger press for creating the most perfect patties. This always makes a huge difference! After rolling the meat into a ball, you smash it with the press and it creates an evenly round patty. So all of the burgers cooked evenly at the same time and came out with perfectly crispy edges and a delicious juicy center.
  • Homemade Onion Soup Mix: If you are looking to avoid gluten and want to make your own onion soup mix: ½ cup dried onion flakes, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon celery seed, ½ teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon dried parsley, 1 teaspoon kosher salt.
  • No Grill? Make these on the stove in a cast iron skillet! Cook with a little bit of butter. Or cook in air fryer at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Variations: Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce for a deep, rich flavor. Try a ranch packet instead. Add breadcrumbs.
