Happy Friday and happy Mother’s Day weekend! We’ve had such a fun week over here filled with celebrations. Caroline turned 12, Sprinkles turned 6, and we are hopefully approaching the finish line of our master bathroom renovation.
The plumber is coming today and if all goes according to plan, my Mother’s Day dream of the longest bathtub soak imaginable may come true.
Wishing all of you a Mother’s Day weekend that feels exactly how you want it to.
PS – I’ve shared some fun content this week…all the details from Lunch Bunch including the hilarious game that had us crying laughing, a festive end-of-school-year snack idea, and this week’s newsletter featuring a Sprinkles update, puppy piñatas, and lots more. Don’t miss it!

1. Officially 12
Caroline is 12! We celebrated last weekend with a hibachi dinner and 13 of her best friends, which was exactly the kind of loud, chaotic, fun night she wanted. Watching her celebrate with her friends made me so happy and also slightly emotional because I truly cannot believe she is already 12.
One of my favorite parts of this age is how thoughtful the girls are with their gifts. Caroline was gifted everything from bags of fresh mangoes (her fruit obsession) to the sweetest handmade posters filled with collages of photos, stacks of enewton bracelets, the tank tops all the tweens are wearing right now, and lots of new squishies. One of her friends literally stood in line for THREE hours to get her the new Jelly Squish the day it was released. And in addition to the giant lobster she’s been asking for forever, two of her friends got her dolphins too. Honestly, watching what this age gets excited about is one of my favorite things.

For her birthday morning, we filled her room with balloons, hung streamers over her door, and surprised her with sprinkle-covered cinnamon rolls, fresh mango, and her favorite Starbucks drink…a mango chai. She felt so loved and celebrated!

2. RIP Zipper Wall
This sounds dramatic, but this zipper wall has genuinely been the worst part of our entire bathroom renovation. Having to unzip ourselves in and out of our bedroom, especially in the middle of the night, has made me feel like we were living inside a Dexter kill room. The bathroom still isn’t quite finished, but we’re officially past the dusty phase, so seeing this thing finally come down this week feels VERY exciting.

3. Summer Bracelet Stack
BaubleBar just kicked off their limited-edition $10 stacking bracelet sale (through Sunday!) and they are SO good. I grabbed a few to stack together and am really impressed with how pretty and well made they are, especially the tennis bracelets. They look way more expensive than they are, and the adjustable pull-tie closures make them really easy to stack and layer together.
Linking my exact stack lineup here!

4. Lunchbox Burnout
Recently added single cups of Cheerios with milk to our lunchbox rotation and it’s been such a hit. By this point in the school year, I am completely burnt out on lunch ideas, and the kids have loved this. You can use boxed milk or just pour milk into a mason jar and toss it in their lunch bag.

5. Not To Overshare But…
PSA for my friends in their late 30s/40s…these leakproof undies from Knix have honestly been life-changing for me lately. They’re comfortable, don’t feel bulky or diaper-y at all, and somehow actually work. I especially love them for overnight peace of mind, travel days, the gym, or honestly anytime I don’t totally trust what’s going on anymore.
I also really appreciate that they come in different absorbencies and actually look like normal underwear, not medical equipment. I love sleeping in the Dream Shorts and wearing the No Show Thong with leggings to the gym.
If you’ve been dealing with heavier periods, random surprises, or just want a little extra backup lately…highly recommend these!
***PS – Knix also has a teen line with period underwear and leakproof swimsuits in both one-piece and bikini options, which honestly would have changed my life as a tween. Especially genius for summer and sleepaway camp season.
