Five on Friday!

Christmas is in exactly TWO Fridays!!!! Are you ready?! I SO AM!!

one. A few weeks ago my friend Lisa was over sorting through my crockpot collection for an upcoming party. When I asked her if she needed a mini crockpot she laughed and asked what in the world I would ever use such a small crockpot for? Matt asks me that same question at least once a year when he goes on a cleaning spree and threatens to toss it out. But for real, I have used it once for 16 ounces of cheesy Rotel dip! Anyway, over Thanksgiving in the mountains I saw my mother-in-law using her mini crockpot to fill the cabin with the amazing smells of Christmas! It never occurred to me that I could simmer my Stovetop Christmas Potpourri in a crockpot! So you better believe my mini crockpot has never seen so much action as it has in the past few weeks! Find my recipe here!

two. On my wedding day I wore MAC Twig lipstick and loved it so much that it’s the only color I’ve ever worn ever since! It’s one of those colors that looks good on anyone which is probably why it’s a makeup artist’s go-to lip color. Anyway, a tube usually lasts me a very long time which is why I don’t mind splurging on it but about a year ago I stumbled across the perfect dupe – Rimmel Kate Moss #104. It truly is an equally amazing lipstick in every category – color, quality, lasts all day, etc. But this version can be found at any drug store for around $5 (a quarter of the MAC price)! Anyway, I wanted to share it with you in case you’re making a suggested stocking stuffer list for Santa!

three. As the “room parent” for Thomas’ class I have to stay on top of the teachers gifts throughout the year. For Thanksgiving we just give each teacher a card from the class but for the same price ($3!!!) I found super cute ornaments at Target. So in lieu of a card I signed all of the babies names on the ornament as a keepsake gift! The teachers absolutely loved the idea so I wanted to pass it on to y’all in case you are looking for something fun and sentimental to give your kid’s teachers for Christmas!

four. I shared this photo of the babies earlier this week after one of my expander fill appointments. I was so happy to not be in terrible pain after this particular fill so I pulled my minis into bed with me for awhile. How cute are their matchy matchy jammies?

five. Earlier this week I attended a really fun ornament swap! More details on that to come but I wanted to share the most delicious (and dangerous) punch that was served. Everyone kept talking about it and asking the hostess for the recipe. It’s called Mrs. Holiday Punch and if you’re hosting a holiday party, I highly recommend serving it! You can find the printable recipe here.

That is THE best idea to use the mini crock as a warmer! Can't believe I didn't think of this sooner! Thanks for sharing and happy Friday to you! Hope it's a merry little weekend for you :)
