Green & Blue Thanksgiving Tablescape

One of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving is pulling together the tablescape. It’s something I look forward to every year, and I love switching it up to keep things fresh. Last year, I went all out with a pop of color, and it turned out so fun! This year, though, I wanted something a little calmer and went with a light blue, white, and green color scheme. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with how it came together…

One trick I’ve picked up over the years is to create my tablescape for Thanksgiving and then re-use it for events throughout the holiday season. I’ll keep the same design, just swapping out the flowers, and it’s perfect for everything from our Community Group dinner to family Christmas dinner — no reinventing the wheel during the crazy holiday season.

Thanksgiving Tablescape Details

When it comes to creating my tablescapes, I like to keep things simple and consistent. I invest in key pieces—like plates, flatware, and napkin rings—once, and then use them over and over for multiple tablescapes throughout the year. By switching out the florals and linens, I can easily refresh the look without starting from scratch every time. It’s such an efficient way to make my table feel new and seasonal, and it gives me the flexibility to focus on the fun details like flowers and fabric while knowing I’ve got the foundation covered!

  • Tablecloth (color: Shalimar Green): This hand-blocked floral tablecloth is a total winner for fall gatherings. I actually own it in a few different prints because I love the quality—it’s super durable and gives the table a cozy, inviting vibe. It’s a great size for bigger tables and works perfectly for everything from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
  • Porcelain Dinner Plates with Gold Trim: These 10.5-inch porcelain dinner plates are simple yet elegant, with a subtle gold trim that adds just the right touch of sophistication to the table. I love using them for both casual and formal occasions, and they’re a beautiful staple for any holiday meal. The set of six is perfect for larger gatherings, and they make a great gift for someone who loves to host.
  • Bamboo Flatware: This flatware set is both practical and good-looking. Made from bamboo plastic, it’s sturdy and has a nice, clean look that works for pretty much any meal. The 20 pieces cover all the bases for a complete table setting, and it’s a perfect option for anyone who wants something that’s both stylish and affordable.
  • Napkins: These pale blue cotton linen napkins are a new addition to my collection, and I love the color! They’re soft, have a nice clean look with hemmed edges, and have washed well so far after a few uses). Perfect for family dinners or special events, they add a simple but pretty touch to the table.
  • Bamboo Knuckles Napkin Rings: These napkin rings are a fun way to add a little flair to your table. The bamboo knuckles style gives them a unique look, and the gold finish brings just the right amount of shine without being too flashy. They’re perfect for everything from family dinners to special events like Christmas and Thanksgiving—really easy way to elevate the table setting!
  • Bud Vases: These mini vintage clear bud vases are a staple in my collection! I use them all the time because the set includes so many different sizes and designs, making it easy to mix and match for any occasion. They’re perfect for small centerpieces or just adding a little floral touch to the table without overwhelming the space.
  • Gold Candlestick Holders: This trio of brass gold candlestick holders along with this shorter set of two are favorites of mine for tablescapes. They’re the perfect mix of vintage and modern, adding a stylish touch and variety of heights to the table.
  • Taper Candles: I found my candles at Michaels but these are very similar.
  • Hurricane Vases: Tracking down these glass candle holders was trickier than I expected! I found the tallest ones at At Home, but couldn’t find any smaller ones that were wide enough. So, I ended up ordering this set off Amazon. I should mention, they’re not packaged well, so I had to order two sets to get enough that weren’t shattered. Also, despite the listing saying they’re open-ended, they’re actually not. But once I got the right ones, they made such a beautiful addition to the table! These clear cylinder holders are perfect for adding some soft, flickering candlelight, and they come in a set of six, which is ideal for creating a cohesive look.
  • Place Cards: I used Paper In A Pinch for my place cards. Their library is always full of so many beautiful designs to choose from and these were absolutely perfect for my table and added that extra personal touch to each setting.
  • French Bistro Chairs: We primarily use these bistro chairs for our outdoor table, but when we host larger dinner parties, they come inside to help seat extra guests. They’re both comfortable and chic, adding a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe to the table. Plus, they’re lightweight and easy to move around, and work for any occasion, whether indoors or out!
  • Flowers: I grabbed a few bouquets from Trader Joe’s—white garden roses and delicate, whimsical greenery. They came together just as I had envisioned, adding a light, natural touch without overwhelming the table or getting in the way of conversations.
