Lavender Lemonade Cocktail

This lavender lemonade cocktail is truly the most perfect summer beverage for sipping poolside, at the beach, or serving at large summer gatherings. It’s sweet, zesty, delightfully floral, and easy to make for a large crowd. And it only requires a few ingredients.

The secret to this cocktail…is using Chick-fil-A lemonade. And we’re taking this lemonade to the next level by adding fresh lavender…and then giving it a boozy twist by spiking it with vodka.

Lavender Lemonade Cocktail Ingredients

  • Chick-fil-A Lemonade: You can home-make your lemonade, but WHY when you can buy Chick-fil-A lemonade?! Their lemonade is truly a classic and is made with three simple ingredients — real lemon juice (not from concentrate), cane sugar, and water. Or, if you’re looking for a lighter version, Chick-fil-A’s diet lemonade is sweetened with Splenda rather than cane sugar. Both options are incredibly delicious and you can purchase them by the gallon without even getting out of your car.
  • Dried Lavender: Make sure you use high-quality dried lavender flowers. And if you want to garnish your cocktail with fresh lavender, you can sometimes find it at Trader Joe’s, but it’s seasonal and is usually gone by early summer. You can also find a lavender bunch on Amazon (which is where I purchased mine)!
  • Vodka: We love Tito’s vodka, but use your favorite vodka!
  • Fresh Lemons: For garnish!
  • Ice: If you LOVE pellet ice, you can buy a bag for just a few dollars from Chick-fil-A when you scoop up your lemonade!

Making the Lavender Lemonade

You are going to add 1 tablespoon of dried lavender per cup of lemonade. If you’re planning to use the entire gallon of lemonade, you’ll need a full cup of lavender! You can also add the lavender right into the jug the lemonade comes in, but you need to pour a little out first and use a funnel! Shake it vigorously and then store it in the fridge overnight. The longer it sits, the more fragrant it gets. I try to keep mine marinating for a full 24 hours. Then strain the lemonade using a fine mesh strainer.

This may be a stupid question, but do you take the lavender off the stem before adding it or just add the whole sprig?

The lavender I add to the lemonade is loose, and the garnish is on the stem. I have two different lavenders in this cocktail. One for marinating and one for garnish. The garnish is totally optional, but it is really pretty!
