I have finally whittled down an entire gallery of amazing images for a Christmas shoot post! We recently had our annual family photos taken. We traveled about 30 minutes away to a cute barn in Fort Mill, SC for a golden hour mini session with the talented Taylor Stading. I had no clue how it was going to go (especially at that time of day) so I stashed a package of mini marshmallows, some funny stuffed animals and a blanket in my bag and hoped for the best.

If I had to give a report card, I’d give Thomas a solid B- for the entire session and Caroline a C+ for the first half and an A+ for the second half. So overall, a huge win.
We took our photos right next to the horses so smiling
for the camera was definitely not priority for the kids, especially
Thomas, who has an insane obsession with animals. If we took our eyes off of him for one second he would dart over to pet the horse and we’d have to lure him back with a handful of marshmallows.
It should also come as no surprise that Caroline’s best smiles were in daddy’s arms. Nope, not surprised one bit.
Oh man, sloppy wet kisses from this little dude. I love him so much I think my heart will explode sometimes.
Some of my favorites of just the babies…(can I still call them that?)…
RIGHT?! I know, I know. They are so dang adorable. And I give Taylor 100% credit for making this happen. She has a handful of kiddos of her own and is incredibly magical with our kiddos.
While Thomas was off eating hay and Caroline was throwing rocks Matt and I took a few pictures of just the two of us.
And now, the three leading Christmas card contenders:
#1…
#2…
#3…
So you see my dilemma, right? I love all three so much because they perfectly and candidly capture our family — chaos, love and joy.
And that’s a wrap!

Love them! My vote is #3 🙂
3!!
Number three for sure!
Gorgeous photos!! I vote #3 for the card though!
They're all so great! With each contender, I was like, "That's the one!" but I think #3 is perfect!
