Hot Spiced Tea

Make your holiday season a littler merrier with a festive, warm beverage – Hot Spiced Tea! Perfect for enjoying with friends, or while decorating your tree, this recipe is the perfect Merry Christmas drink, and will leave a delicious aroma throughout your whole house!

 

 You Will Need:

{4} Quarts Water

{6} Tea Bags

{1.5} Cups Pineapple Juice

{6} Ounces Frozen Orange Juice

{1/2} Cup Lemon Juice

{3} Cinnamon Sticks

{2} Teaspoons Whole Cloves

{1} Cup Sugar

Cheesecloth

 

In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Meanwhile, tightly wrap cloves and cinnamon sticks in cheesecloth.

Add tea bags and cheesecloth and remove from heat. Let steep, covered, for 20 minutes. 

Stir in pineapple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar {to taste}. 

 

Cook over medium low heat for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to low and keep warm until ready to serve. 

 

When ready to serve, pour into mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks or lemon slices, if desired.
