Five on Friday: A Link-up!

 Hope you all are having a lovely Friday! I've got a great line-up for ya today...

- ONE - Boca Towel Clips to keep your towel in place on the beach or at the pool. These cute lil things are probably the greatest summer invention. Never again will I have to worry about my towel sliding down my chair or blowing away at the pool.
You can find these {here} at Bed Bath & Beyond in a variety of animals {fish, dolphin, parrots, whales, etc.} and a set is only $5.99! I picked up two sets - one for me and one for the seester!
  and Lindsey's set...
- TWO - The WRAP UP by Sarah Potempa. We all know how trendy the top knot is right now. There are pages after pages of tutorials on Pinterest and racks of bun gadgets down every beauty aisle. I think I've tried just about everything out there and have decided the SP Wrap Up is my favorite.
For the past 6 months or so it's been my go-to top knot for work, the gym and going out. It takes less than 3 minutes and looks awesome. After rocking the SP Wrap Up all weekend on vacation, my seester decided she wanted one too...
{the business bun}
  Is she not the cutest?
{the gym bun}
 {the traveling bun}

The Wrap Up is $12, comes in 3 colors and you can find it {here}.

- THREE - My newest veggie side dish obsession - roasted broccoli & cauliflower topped with Parmesan cheese. Cheese topped anything is a favorite in my book and this veggie dish is no exception!
The Best Broccoli & Cauliflower: Cut 1 medium head of cauliflower and 1 medium head of broccoli into florets. Drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Roast in oven at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
- FOUR - Someone please unsubscribe me from the J.Crew Factory sale emails. I can't say no to free shipping and 50% off.
 Yellow Mini Skirt {on sale for $24.99}; Blue Seersucker Mini Skirt {on sale $26.55} and Pinball Stud Earrings {on sale $8.10}

- FIVE - I have a huge announcement...
After almost 2 YEARS of sitting {unopened} in the attic, I finally pulled down my sewing machine, opened it up and learned how to thread it! A sweet wedding gift from my friends Brynn and Katrina, I am so excited to finally take on this new hobby! You can find my sewing project list {here}! Any tips you may have for a beginner are welcome!

  Wanna join  Darci, April, Natasha and I on the Friday fun? You can link-up on any of our four blogs every Friday! All you have to do is...
1.)  Write  your post about five things you're lovin' this week (or any five things you want to share!). 2.)  Share the logo above on your blog and link back. 3.)  Link-up at the bottom of the post so some new readers can check out your five things and say hello!

  5. I love all five things so much, I'm not sure what to comment on first! I am totally inept at buns, so I might just have to give that gadget a try! Love roasted vegetables AND a good J.Crew factory sale! I just got my sewing machine out this week, too. I've only ever made pillow covers and curtains, but I am absolutely determined to try making a fun summer shirt this year!

  12. I usually just throw my hair up in a messy bun to get it off my neck in these hot southern summers, but I may have to try the wrap up for a more polished look!

  20. I've been seeing those clips everywhere but never stopped long enough to see what they are! I was at the pool this with my little guy and was complaining about the towel sliding down every time I sat down! These might be my next investment! :)

  24. I need those clips! Mainly because I love flamingos so much! I'm so with you on the J.Crew emails. I must stop. I go into the store and it's even worse. Our newer store in my area has crewcuts. LOVE it so much! Happy Friday! xo, Ashley

  25. J. Crew emails get me in trouble too!

    Congrats on learning how to thread your machine. Mine sat unused for 10 years before I finally signed up for a class in my area. I'm still not fantastic at it -- but I can sew something simple. Definitely worth looking into.

    Have a great weekend!
