Five on Friday!

Happy Friday y'all! We've got a good line up today so let's get right down to business...
- ONE - I ran out of mascara two weeks ago and have been scrapping by on the remaining drops in my tube. I finally ran to Ulta earlier this week and realized I hadn't done any research on what kind I wanted to try. For awhile now I've been using Benefit's They're Real mascara for the weekends and the good ole trusted Maybelline Great Lash for every day use. Mascara is the one makeup product I always try and experiment with though...so I grabbed 4 tubes since they were one sale, buy one, get one 50% off.

I really like all of them with the exception of the Mega Plush mascara. The wand is bendable which makes no sense to me. I thought I got a broken tube at first and found it difficult to apply.
  - TWO - A few nights ago a group of us girls surprised our friend, Mary, with a little goodbye party at Cowfish. She is moving to Denver in a just a few weeks! It was such a great night and the perfect sendoff. Per usual, I got my favorite Bento Box.
- THREE - My favorite book of ALL time is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I've read lots of her other books and they are great, but RL is definitely her best. Anyway, she released her new book Bridge to Haven this week and I am dying to check it out!
- FOUR - Alright friends, I need your advice! One of my very best friends is getting married next May and it's time to start thinking about her bachelorette party! We are hoping to take a mini vacation (3 nights) somewhere sandy and sunny...out of the country. We don't need a fancy destination since we're all on a budget...just a quick flight somewhere warm that serves (preferably all-inclusive) cocktails. Any recommendations?
- FIVE - Today I am kicking off my last official giveaway before my water breaks. I recently received the cutest burp cloths and pacifier clips from Alex & Ally. When they arrived I was so giddy. The colors, the fabrics, the quality...they are truly perfect! Alex has graciously offered to give away one Alex & Ally bib sets of your choice (with free shipping) by entering the Rafflecopter below! Good luck!

  1. I love Redeeming Love but have never read any of her other books. I might have to start with this new one! Hope you have a wonderful Friday!

  2. Your bento box....yum! Have you guys checked out the Bahama's? It's not too far away and I'm sure they have a lot of all inclusive places. We're going to Dominican Republic in November (Punta Cana) and those prices are pretty reasonable too. If you have a Costco membership they have some awesome travel deals that include airfare which is always nice. Have a great weekend!

  7. My favorite mascara of all time is the one in the yellow tube with the purple writing in your photo. My absolute favorite. It lasts all day and I can't tell you how many compliments I receive on my lashes. I'm going to check out your book recommendation. I've been scoping out GoodReads trying to find my next read and I just can't seem to decide on something!

  8. I've been to a resort in Punta Cana that was all inclusive. There are many to choose from and the prices are very reasonable!

  9. Redeeming Love is my favorite book too! I try to read it once a year and love it more each time. My go-to mascara is Cover Girl's Lash Blast Volume (orange tube). I always go back to it! Happy Friday!

  10. That Bento Box looks amazing! I'm not even sure what it all is but it sure looks good! I will definitely be checking out Redeeming Love and her new book! Happy Friday :)

  11. I love the Maybelline Colossal mascara - a great drugstore bargain. We did the Excellence Playa Mujeres just north of Cancun for our honeymoon. It was great. A quick flight into cancun but about 25 minutes outside of cancun so you don't feel like you're on MTV Spring Break. :)

  12. I love testing new mascara! My husband and I took a quick trip to the Bahamas and there were a few bachelorette parties on our plane. We stayed at the melia (all-inclusive plan) and while there isn't much nightlife there, everything is a quick cab ride away. But the hotel and amenities were fabulous (as were the drinks!).

  13. I would definitely recommend Rosemary/Alys Beach in Florida. Not out of the country but you can't beat the water and they have tons of great things to do. Not sure what the bar scene is like but its worth checking out and super easy to get to with a new airport.

  14. I always get the bento box @ Cowfish as well... one of my top 5 restaurants for sure! Have a great weekend :)

  16. I'm a big Maybelline mascara fan! I've tried so many expensive ones and always go back to my cheap one! This isn't out of the country, but if you're looking for a beautiful beach and low budget, Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL is beautiful. My girlfriends and I stayed on Longboat Key and cabbed to the Siesta beach bars at night. So fun!

  17. Cowfish is SO good! I've never tried their bento boxes but that one looks amazing. : )

  18. I love Mascara. I feel naked without it.
I would suggest Mexico. Short flight, lots of inclusive resorts to choose from.

  25. Have you thought about Puerto Rico? We went for our honeymoon and it was pretty inexpensive, really easy to get around and a lot of fun. Plus you don't have to go through customs or have a passport since it's a US territory. It has great history - Old San Juan with it's cobblestone streets and old forts are cool to check out and there's a rainforest that's super easy to get to and would make a cool afternoon trip. I definitely recommend it!

  26. Secrets Maroma Beach. Hands down. It was voted one of the top 10 all inclusives in the world, and it's in Mexico. The name makes it sound tacky, but it's amazing. We've been to a LOT of all inclusives, and this is our favorite. Spa-like atmosphere...good food. It's great.

  27. Iberostar Grand Bavaro in Punta Cana is also nice... :)

  28. Puerto Rico is a great choice for a quick getaway, especially because you don't have to deal with the hassle of traveling "out of the country" even though you're leaving the mainland!

  29. I loved Redeeming Love too! It was so necessary when I read it. I'll be excited to read Bridge to Haven

  30. Cancun is nice and cheap but I would recommend going around spring break. And I will be checking out that book! Love Rivers.

  33. I use that Rocket Volume mascara in the bright purple and pink tube and it's awesome. It makes my lashes look amazing!! Cabo and Cancun are great quick trips for good prices!! Love those bibs, so sweet!

  34. DEFINITELY the Valentin Imperial Maya in Riviera Maya. It is by far the best all inclusive resort for a good price! Everyone loves it, my husband and I are going back for the second time in just a few weeks! There are over 6,000 fantastic reviews on tripadvisor.

  35. I'm heading to Cozumel, MX tomorrow for an all-inclusive trip! We got a fantastic deal on it and the plane ride isn't bad at all. I'll let you know how that turns out! :)

  36. Redeeming Love is my all time favorite too!!! I'm so excited for her new book as well. Have you read Her Mother's Hope and Her Daughter's Dream by her? Loved them so much!!

  38. I don't have a good reccomendation for your bachelorette party but I can reccomend you pack me in your suitcase! Lol. The next time you try mascara you should try butterfly by loreal (I think it's loreal). It's awesome!!

  39. I love Maybelline mascara- I used a combination of Lash Stiletto and Colossal lash on my lashes for length and volume! One of my girlfriends did a bachelorette in Puerto Rico and said it was awesome- easy to get to and not too expensive!
