Parties

Last week I had McKinsey over for a little mahjong party! Both of us have September birthdays and both of us are mahjong-obsessed, so we decided to celebrate together with an afternoon of Siamese mahjong! It was a warm, beautiful day so I set up our game table outside and whipped up some frozen espresso …

Mabel turned ONE last weekend and we celebrated with a birthday pawty! If you’re a longtime reader, I know you aren’t surprised — we’ve been throwing pawties since 2012! Our little group has been playing together for more than a year now and it’s been really fun getting better, faster, and more competitive. When we first started playing we could barely chat or sip cocktails because there are a lot of rules to …

On his birthday, we celebrated with a morning wake-up to lots of balloons and streamers, donuts for breakfast, birthday presents, and I surprised him with a homemade ice cream cake for dessert! Over the weekend we threw him a party with all his favorite things — a sleepover with his …

Last week we wrapped up our spring semester of Community Group! It was truly the most wonderful night filled with so much love, tears, hugs, and lots of laughs. And it was so wonderful to host my dear friends in my new home for our final meeting together! It’s been awhile since I dedicated a …

Last week our Community Group gathered together for our third annual Favorite Things Party! Last year we wore fancy attire. The year before we wore pajamas.
