I recently set up the easiest (and most fun) spritz bar on my porch for my summer mahjong pool party with girlfriends, and honestly, it was such a vibe and everyone LOVED it.
Our cocktail station included everything needed to make Hugo, Aperol, and Limoncello spritzes, and since it was self-serve, guests could easily customize their drinks and top off their glasses whenever they wanted (which meant I could spend more time in the pool playing mahjong)!
It’s literally the easiest way to host a summer party. The spritz bar is super easy to set up, fun for guests, and stress-free for the host. Plus, it looks seriously gorgeous with all the fresh garnishes and all those sparkling bubbles.
I’m totally doing this again for every summer hangout from now on…

Spritz Bar Supplies: What You’ll Need
To make your spritz bar as easy (and delicious) as possible, here’s what you’ll need:
- Prosecco/Champagne: This is your bubbly base! You’ll want something dry, like a brut, to balance out the sweetness of the other ingredients. Plus, it makes everything sparkle. Pro Tip: Estimate two spritzes per hour per guest for the champagne, so make sure you have plenty on hand!
- Aperol: The classic ingredient for an Aperol Spritz. It adds that signature orange flavor and vibrant color. It’s basically summer in a bottle.
- Limoncello: This lemony liqueur gives your Limoncello spritz a bright, citrusy kick.
- St. Germain: A fancy elderflower liqueur that adds a subtle floral sweetness to your Hugo Spritz.
- Club Soda: To add some fizz and balance everything out without adding extra sweetness. You’ll want this for topping off each drink. If you go with mini cans (which are so cute), make sure to have plenty on hand – these go faster than you think.
- Mint: Fresh mint adds a pop of color and a refreshing aroma for the Hugo Spritz or a prety garnish for any other cocktail.
- Orange, Lemon, Lime Slices: These fruity slices are the ultimate garnish for your spritz. They make everything look extra pretty and bring out the citrus flavors.
Why We Love A Spritz Bar
If you’re looking for the ultimate way to level up your party, a spritz bar is the answer. Whether it’s for a brunch, a bridal shower, happy hour with friends, or even a group beach house vacation, this bar setup lets everyone get creative with customizing their drinks – and it’s elegant and effortless!
- Mocktail Option: Adding a mocktail option is a breeze with a spritz bar! Simply include a variety of mixers like fresh-squeezed juices (think orange, lime, or grapefruit), fruit purees, or flavored sparkling waters. You can also toss in extra fresh herbs like rosemary or basil. This makes the bar super customizable, ensuring everyone has a refreshing and bubbly option to enjoy.
- The Presentation Slays: The key to making your spritz bar shine is all in the presentation. Start with a beautiful wood serving board or your favorite oversized platter and load it up with orange, lemon, and lime slices, along with an overstuffed cup of fresh mint. To elevate the look even further, use pretty glassware that matches the vibe of your gathering, add festive straws or fun stir sticks for extra flair, or make pretty ice cubes.
- Make Your Own Spritz + Printable Signage: Set up the spritz station so guests can pour their own drinks – it’s self-serve, stress-free for you, and gives everyone the freedom to mix to their liking! To make it even easier, add “how-to” signage with recipe instructions for each drink option so guests know the right proportions. This gives them a guide to create their perfect spritz. I used a printable by Carla Bushey for my setup, which you can also grab the Spritz Bar Printable Sign HERE!
