When it comes to the best all-inclusive family resorts, I want the inside scoop—the spots families actually love and would go back to in a heartbeat. The beauty of all-inclusive is knowing meals, drinks, and most activities are already paid for, so you can just show up and focus on having fun.
I polled my readers for their favorite resorts, and y’all delivered. This list highlights the resorts that came up over and over again, along with my personal notes on the ones we’ve visited. You’ll get a mix of first-hand experience and reader-approved recommendations, perfect for planning your next family getaway!

Beaches Turks & Caicos
If you want a family trip where the kids are entertained from morning to night, Beaches Turks & Caicos makes that pretty easy. It’s right on Grace Bay, so the water is calm and perfect for swimming, plus there’s a big water park, kids’ camp, and plenty for teens to do. You can even sneak away to an adults-only restaurant or pool while they’re busy. It is a large property, so you’ll do some walking, and the nicer restaurants fill up quickly, but with so many dining options you won’t run out of choices.
Personal review: We stayed in the Italian Oceanfront Walkout Concierge Family Suite with Kids Room, and honestly, the room was the highlight for us. My kids (7 & 8 at the time of trip) loved having their own bunk area, and the fact that we could walk straight out to the beach made life so easy. The suite itself felt roomy and well set up with separate spaces. Unfortunately, the overall stay felt just okay for the price. The kids had a blast with all the activities, but the food and drinks were kind of a letdown—the resort even ran out of Turks beers a few days, which was surprising.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana Dominican Republic
This one is high on our list of best all-inclusive family resorts to visit. It’s set on Juanillo Beach, which gets rave reviews for being beautiful and calm, and the all-inclusive setup covers meals, drinks, a water park, and daily activities for all ages. Y’all say the kids’ and teens’ clubs are great, and the mix of pools, beach, and restaurants keeps everyone busy. Some reviews mention the food can be hit or miss, but overall it looks like a modern, easy-to-enjoy resort where you can unpack once and have plenty to do without leaving the property.
Grand Velas Los Cabos
If you’re looking for a true luxury all-inclusive, Grand Velas Los Cabos gets a lot of love from families. The suites are huge, every room has an ocean view, and the service gets rave reviews. There’s a kids’ club and a teen club, plus a gorgeous infinity pool and multiple restaurants—including some fine dining that’s still welcoming to kids. This isn’t the place for a “budget” trip, but guests say the food is some of the best you’ll find at an all-inclusive, and the level of attention from the staff makes it feel special from the moment you arrive.
Westin Reserva Conchal Costa Rica
The Westin Reserva Conchal is one of those resorts where you can settle in and not have to think too hard about anything. The pool is huge and easy to spend the whole day at, and there are enough restaurant options that you won’t get bored eating in the same spot twice (the buffet is also amazing). The staff gets a lot of love for being warm and welcoming, and the property itself feels tropical and well taken care of. It’s the kind of place that makes it easy for both kids and adults to relax right away.
Personal Review: Our stay at the Westin was the perfect way to kick off our family trip to Costa Rica, our favorite family trip of all time thanks to the rainforest adventures that followed. We spent a few nights here (see my full recap HERE with resort tips), and the beach was the highlight for me. The water is a gorgeous turquoise color, the coastline views are stunning, and the sand is a mix of fine grains and beautiful shells—paradise for Caroline, our little shell collector. We also loved watching the monkeys around the property (tip: take a morning walk when they’re most active)! And the sunsets? The colors in the sky were unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

Grand Moon Palace Cancun
Readers who’ve stayed at Grand Moon Palace describe it as a massive resort with something for everyone—multiple pools, endless dining options, a water park, a kids’ club, and nightly entertainment. Many liked being able to move between different sections of the property for more variety, and said everything felt modern and well-kept. Because of its size, there’s a fair amount of walking (or waiting for golf carts), and the atmosphere is more lively than laid-back. If your family enjoys lots of activities, plenty of places to eat, and a busy, energetic vibe, this one gets strong recommendations.
Finest Punta Cana
Y’all love Finest Punta Cana for its modern rooms, beautiful beach, and relaxed but still family-friendly vibe. There’s a kids’ club and a separate club for older kids and teens, plus plenty of pools and dining options to keep everyone happy. Readers especially like the swim-up suites and two-story rooms with rooftop plunge pools for extra space and privacy. The beach here is known for calm water and soft sand, and while the resort is big, readers say it’s easy to get around. Service and food both get high marks, making it a solid pick for mixing relaxation with kid-approved fun.
Hotel Xcaret Mexico
If your family’s idea of vacation is going non-stop with incredible adventures, this is my personal pick for “Best All-Inclusive Family Resorts.” Your stay includes access to all of Xcaret’s adventure parks—ziplining, underground rivers, water slides, animal encounters, and more—plus easy, quick transportation to each one (we never waited on a shuttle). The resort itself blends luxury and nature in a way that’s totally unique, with gorgeous pools, turquoise lagoons, and so many fun nooks to explore. When you’re not park-hopping, you can still fill your days on property with swimming, exploring trails and bridges, or just lounging with a cocktail.
Personal Review: We’ve been here, and it’s our second favorite family trip of all time (Costa Rica still takes first place). The way this resort is set up makes it feel special from the moment you arrive. Our room had an incredible river view with a hammock on the balcony and a platform where the kids could jump straight into the lagoon—such a highlight for them. We loved wandering the rope bridges and trails around the stunning property, and the kids couldn’t get enough of the pools and lagoons (the beach is not really the main attraction). The included park access made it so easy to balance big adventure days with lazy pool days, and everything ran so smoothly that we never had to think about logistics.
