1. Slow Cook Sunday

Last week I kicked off a twist to one of our favorite fall traditions — Slow Cook Sunday! If you’ve been reading along for a while you know we have previously celebrated Soup Sunday in our home during the fall and winter months. However, I’ve received an influx of requests lately for more crockpot meals so I’m broadening our tradition to anything that cooks in the crockpot — which will still include soups too! I have already loved seeing so many of you share my recipes this season and I hope you will continue to tag me. It makes me so happy to see a meal success in your family!

2. Caroline’s New Dress

Caroline has really gotten into clothes since starting 4th grade! While she still wears plenty of athleisure, it’s been really cute to see her get excited about a new dress/skirt/two-piece set (we just got her this adorable top + bottom set by the way)/etc.

Anyway, last weekend she wore one of her favorite dresses (which is on major sale, under $20!!!) and asked me to snap of picture of her in it. She looks so grown up to me!!

3. Spooky Living Tree Man

Matt decorated the outside of our house last weekend for Halloween and my favorite thing in our yard is the creepy tree man!! Not only is it on sale right now (30% off Halloween at Target, making it only $10), but this decoration is super easy to hang, very packable when it’s time to store it, and is…well…perfectly CREEPY! I felt like I hit the jackpot when I stumbled upon this find and ended up purchasing 5 of these decorations for our trees in our front yard. They look even spookier at night too!

4. Pool Progress

We’ve made a lot of pool progress! Since my last update, the pool has been shot with concrete (gunite) and we are currently watering the concrete shell twice a day for 7 days to help with the curing process. We also completed the plumbing which required digging massive trenches all over the yard to set the plumbing lines and set up the pool equipment. Now we are just waiting on our county inspection so we can install the gas lines next! I can hardly contain my excitement every time I look out the back window!

5. Chasing Crab Toy

Instagram served up a targeted ad for this chasing crab for Mabel and I couldn’t purchase it fast enough. It has been hysterical watching Mabel chase this crab, that also chases her. Many of you told me you also purchased…not only for your dogs…but for your babies!! I love that and can totally see how fun this would be for a crawling baby. It lights up, has funny music and sounds, and moves fast!
