Kids Bathroom Renovation Progress

We are quickly moving through the kids bathroom renovation so I thought I’d share our progress so far!

Bathroom Demo

Always one of my favorite parts — demo day!!! Before the demo started, I was very impressed with how well Atreum prepped the site, as well as the entire upstairs, staircase and areas of the family room. Everything was completely covered with paper or plastic to protect from dust and debris.

It is so wild to me that this all happened in ONE day!

Drywall, Electrical & Plumbing

Over the next few days new drywall was hung, electrical and plumbing was completed and our tub was installed. We ran into one snag during this part of the project. We originally wanted to hang shower glass in lieu of a shower curtain which would require us to move the valves to the other side of the wall (so you could turn on the shower without having to get all the way in). Unfortunately that didn’t work out because the tub filler couldn’t be relocated, so we scraped the shower glass and instead are going with a curtain (which on the bright side, was much better for the budget).

Shower & Floor Tile

EEEP! This part of the project was so exciting!

Even though I had to make several trips to the tile shop last week after I made some changes to the wall niche, it was so worth it to see the shower and floor tile complete!
