I have to share the recipe for the Strawberry Champagne I served as a “welcome drink” for my visitors a few weeks ago! Fresh, fruity
and fabulous, this cocktail is perfect for Valentine’s Day, brunch, summer parties
and more!
Ingredients
1
pint strawberries, sliced
½
cup sugar
1
lemon, juiced
1
bottle of Champagne {or Prosecco}
Directions
Add
sliced strawberries in blender. Squeeze in lemon juice and add sugar. Puree
until smooth. Add 3 tablespoons {or more} of puree to champagne flute. Slowly
fill with champagne. Serve immediately.
Yields
enough puree for 2 bottles of champagne
The puree is quite versatile too! I’ve been
using it as a topping for pancakes, toast and angel food cake. But I bet it
would also be delicious on top of ice cream, yogurt, oatmeal and more!
