Champagne Jello Shots

Champagne Jello Shots are a fun, festive party favorite and especially popular for New Year’s Eve celebrations. This recipe comes straight from my archives, originally published back in 2016, and it’s still one of my favorite party ideas.

These are easy to make, great for entertaining, and always the first thing to disappear at a party. I’m refreshing this post to make it easier to follow and ready for your New Year’s celebrations. If you’re hosting New Year’s Eve or looking for a simple champagne recipe with a playful twist, this classic is still a win.

Champagne Jello Shots Variations

  • Vodka: Swap champagne for vodka for a stronger, classic Jello shot
  • Red Bull: Use Red Bull instead of champagne for a high-energy party version
  • Rosé: Substitute sparkling rosé for a pretty pink twist
  • Edible glitter: Add a pinch of edible glitter or gold sugar for extra sparkle
  • Fruit garnish: Top with raspberries, strawberries, or stemmed cherries (for a swanky little handle)
  • Mini flutes: Pour into mini cups or plastic champagne flutes for a dressed up look
  • Non alcoholic: Use sparkling cider so everyone can enjoy them
  • Citrus boost: Add a splash of lemon or orange juice to brighten the flavor
Yield: 20 jello shots

Champagne Jello Shots

Champagne Jello Shots are a fun, festive party favorite and especially popular for New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes of pineapple Jello (4 oz serving size boxes)
  • 1½ cups boiling water
  • 2½ cups champagne
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 20 2 oz. clear plastic shot glasses

Instructions

    1. Mix your pineapple jello and boiling water in a medium sized bowl, stirring until jello powder has all dissolved. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

    2. Stir in champagne and refrigerate for another 30 minutes or until jello has just slightly thickened.  Set aside about 3/4 cup of your jello and champagne mixture for creating the foam top and put it back in the refrigerator.

    3. Pour jello and champagne mixture into your shot glasses, then drop a few sliced berries in each glass.

    4. Refrigerate overnight.

    5. Before serving, whip (with a high speed hand mixer) your 3/4 cup left over jello until it becomes white and fluffy and resembles foam. Spoon "foam" on top and serve.
