Five on Friday!

Happy 1st day of November! Can you believe it? I feel like yesterday was just September and we are flying through my favorite season! I am exceptionally excited for this weekend. Matt, Charlie and I are heading out this morning to a cozy little cabin in the mountains for three days to celebrate our 2nd anniversary! Two years really snuck up fast and we loved our anniversary cabin weekend so much last year that we decided to make it an annual thing!
- ONE - Fall/Halloween manicure date with girlfriends earlier this week! We all decided to get real wild and each get a sparkly nail.
I went with one of my fall favorites - Essie's Smokin Hot
  - TWO - Scenes from last night...
We went through 4 bowls of candy.
The spiders were on sale at World Market for $4 each. I thought they were so neat!
Matt has been trying to grow grass recently so he came up with a "crime scene" idea to prevent people from walking through our yard. I'd say we had a 90% success rate.
- THREE - I picked up this candle on clearance from Bath & Body works last weekend and have almost burned through the entire thing already. It smells heavenly!
- FOUR - I decided to make breakfast for dinner one night this week and sprung for pancakes and a homemade quiche! It was super tasty and I've been bringing leftovers to work for breakfast. I used Savory Simple's Broccoli Bacon Quiche recipe {substituting fake bacon for real and added cherry tomatoes and corn}. YUM!
- FIVE - Charlie's Halloween costume. He hated it but at least I got one cute picture (even though he looks terrified).

  12. I hope y'all have so much fun this weekend! I love that y'all are making the cabin weekend a tradition! 1. I have Smokin' Hot at home and would never think to pair it with gold glitter - looks great! I see an at-home mani in my near future! 3. The Flannel candle is my absolute FAVORITE right now. I can't get enough of it! 4. I would have never thought to add tomatoes and corn to quiche - I have a favorite spinach and bacon recipe and those would be delicious additions!! Let's try to round up everyone for din on Tuesday. xoxo

  14. Using felt to decorate the pumpkins instead of carving them was a great idea! Will have to remember that for next Halloween.

  19. That is such a smart way to keep people off your lawn .... it would have been hilarious and scary is it was a real person who jumped up and ran when people came. I must have been in too many haunted houses in my life!
