Five on Friday!

So I've totally been slacking on my 5 recently. The days seem to fly by and Friday sneaks up so quickly leaving me unprepared to write my post! And I have to admit, I don't think I'll be able to keep up with this amazing link-up once Caroline arrives so I really want to have fun with these last few weeks before I take a short break.

Before we get started, I wanted to first give a huge CONGRATULATIONS shout out to my friend and fellow 5 on Friday host, Natasha on launching her new business, Sugar Bit, an online children's boutique for newborns through 4-year olds. Make sure to visit her website and follow Sugar Bit on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook!

- ONE - I've kept my spring decor pretty minimal this year since there's a chance it may stay up through summertime with a newborn on my hands. For my entry way table I put moss and eggs in apothecary jars...
And I threw some fun Easter twigs in my potted fern in the kitchen.
  - TWO - I'm on a mission to get as many mani/pedi's as possible these last 5 weeks before Caroline arrives. My poor ankles and feet really deserve it, plus the massage chairs at the nail salons are seriously magical for my lower back pains so I get a lot of bang for my buck. Anyway, I can't get over how much I love the new OPI color, Lucky, Lucky, Lavender. It's the perfect spring pink with a touch of lavender.
- THREE - I am so over being pale. In fact, I've never been this pale (or large) in my life! I did recently get spray tans for my baby shower and maternity pictures, but I can't afford to do that every week so I'm starting up my fake bake routine (with the doctor's approval) to get some color in my life. I have a few Tan Towels I need to use up, but what I'm really excited about is the bottle of TanWise that is en route to my house (thank you Amazon Prime). After reading Maskara's review {here} I decided to purchase a bottle and see how it goes. Stay tuned!
- FOUR - My new favorite way to cook fresh green beans! All you have to do sprinkle some Good Seasons Zesty Italian salad dressing mix on top of your beans, add some melted butter and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. I served these with our spaghetti dinner earlier this week and was very pleased with how they turned out!
- FIVE - This weekend we have another baby shower, hosted by Matt's sweet mom and sister! Matt has a huge family so it's going to be quite the reunion party with lots of his family traveling into town to shower Caroline and squeeze in some golf.
Wanna join  Darci, April, Natasha and I on the Friday fun? You can link-up on any of our four blogs every Friday! All you have to do is...

1.)  Write  your post about five things you're lovin' this week (or any five things you want to share!). 2.)  Share the logo on your blog and link back. 3.)  Link-up at the bottom of the post so some new readers can check out your five things and say hello!

  22. Love that green bean recipe and the Easter decor with apothecary jars. I have lots of extra apothecary jars laying around from my daughter's party last year so I am seriously running out to Michaels this week to find items to do this! :)

  25. I've always been curious about tan towels. I'm a fake 'n baker myself, but I also use self-tanner. My favorite lotion I've found is Banana Boat's Summer Color tanning lotion. It's CHEAP and it works so well! I haven't ever streaked with it.

I hope your baby shower goes well--if the invitation is any indication of the entire event, I'm sure it will be beautiful!

  30. Sounds like it's going to be a fantastic weekend for you. I loved the invitation that Matt's mom picked out.

Also, do you read East Coast Nat's blog? She had a hilarious post about tanning towels this week and you just reminded me of it. She had been using them on her chest, and in the middle of the night her baby slept on her while he was being fussy.

Next morning? He woke up and his cheek was tanned from the lotion she had applied!
