Well friends, I am sad to report if you haven’t heard already…Jennifer Aniston has publicly debunked the viral salad recipe that she ate on the set of Friends every day for 10 years, and has set the record straight that it was actually…the Jennifer Aniston Cobb Salad.
According to a recent interview, Jennifer Aniston shared her salad consists of shredded lettuce, egg whites, chicken, turkey bacon, a couple of garbanzo beans and a basic vinaigrette.
Some days, she said she would also get Pecorino cheese from a nearby Italian restaurant to add on top.
Since many of you have come looking here for her salad recipe, I felt it was only right to whip up the cobb salad recipe too! Jennifer Aniston didn’t share the exact measurements of her salad, but it’s pretty easy to pull this one together with classic cobb salad ingredients and incorporate her adaptions…

What’s in the Jennifer Aniston Salad?
- Turkey bacon
- Avocado
- Egg whites
- Cherry Tomato
- Chicken (marinated in Spiedes)
- Cucumber
- Garbanzo beans
- Red onion
- Pecorino cheese
Recipe Notes
- You can grill your chicken or air fry it. I’ve found that air fried chicken tastes the BEST! I marinate my chicken in Spiedies Marinade for a few hours before air frying it.
- Air fry your bacon too! This is the easiest cooking method in my opinion when it comes to bacon.
The Jennifer Aniston Cobb Salad
According to a recent interview, Jennifer Aniston shared her salad
consists of shredded lettuce, egg whites, chicken, turkey bacon, a
couple of garbanzo beans and a basic vinaigrette. Some days, she said she would also get Pecorino cheese from a nearby Italian restaurant to add on top.
Ingredients
- 6 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 5 slices turkey bacon, air fried and crumbled
- 1/2 avocado, diced
- 3 egg whites, diced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered
- 1 cup chicken, air fried and diced
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1/2 cup garbanzo beans
- 1/4 red onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup pecorino cheese
Salad Dressing
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- salt & pepper
Instructions
- Marinate your chicken in Spiedie marinade (or use my favorite homemade chicken marinade) for several hours in the refrigerator or overnight.
- Make the salad dressing. In a bowl or salad dressing shaker,
mix together the olive oil, vinegar, dijon mustard, salt & pepper to taste. Shake vigorously until well combined. Set aside. - Cook the chicken. Grill or air fry your chicken. I prefer air-fried as it gives it the perfect crisp! In your air fryer, cook chicken at 370 degrees for 10 minutes. Flip chicken and cook for another 7-9 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
- Assemble the salad. Place greens in a large salad bowl or plate. Top with remaining salad ingredients.
- Drizzle salad with vinaigrette and toss before serving.
